Globally, challenges hindering child survival remain prevalent and are particularly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to continue to protect gains in child survival and ensure that the world's children are not left behind during this COVID-19 crisis and when it abates.
American Academy of Pediatrics, Defeat DD, Gavi, March of Dimes, PATH, RESULTS, Save the Children, Shot@Life, UNICEF USA, and World Vision are organizing a week of action on child health to raise national and global awareness about some of the leading causes of child mortality. Starting with World Pneumonia Day (November 12), and ending with World Children's Day (November 20), each day will focus on a health issue affecting the world's children.
Join us as we raise our voices on social media to speak out for the 5.4 million children who are still dying from preventable causes each year.
